Hot Start Taq DNA polymerase is a thermostable Taq DNA polymerase that bound to a proprietary antibody that inactivated enzyme prior to the initial DNA denaturation step of PCR. The polymerase activity is restored during the initial denaturation step, when the temperature of the PCR reaction mix reaches 95°C .This enables hot-start PCR, where polymerase activity is eliminated or minimized at lower temperatures. The enzyme is supplied with the specific Buffer, which minimizes nonspecific amplification products, primer dimers, and background.
Application:
• Hot-start PCR
• PCR and TA cloning
• RT-PCR
• Useful in applications such as colony PCR
